Yael Deckelbaum created this powerful song – a prayer for peace – in Hebrew, Arabic and English in 2017. Last year on this day, we sang it together with her in NYC. This year I dedicate this song to my mother, who on this day 50 years ago birthed me into this world with so much joy, and so many hopes for more peaceful days. Inshallah, May it be, Amen Ken Yehi Ratzon – and may all of us, mothers and fathers, siblings and children, friends and foes – melt the wall of fear to open the gates to interdependence based on deep respect for our shared humanity and dreams.
