Thank you for choosing to join me and artist Jacqueline Nicholls on this 40 day journey into a new year. I hope these reflections on the ripples of our being inspire private introspection and public conversation. Here’s today’s post:

Prepent Day 13

Last unofficial day of summer and here in the USA it’s Labor Day, honoring the labor of all the workers and all those whose dedicated work makes sure my life runs as smoothly as possible from morning commute to perfect salad and a hundred other daily blessings I rarely if ever pause to consider, let alone thank. So many people whose names I don’t know or won’t ever find out. Honor and respect at least one person today whose industry enables or improves your life. A thought: Someone out there might be thanking you, without you knowing it. I just went over to the lifeguard on the beach to say thanks, starting by first finding out her name. Thank you Summer (that’s honestly her name I swear)!

Very excited for Lab/Shul’s fifth season of High Holy Days, back in Tribeca. We invite all ages to return to center, recharge soul, reclaim community and co-create our widening circles of care, compassion and justice.
